I am an East Coast girl who lives in Los Angeles and I tell ya- EVERY time I go back to Jersey those dang mosquitos eat me alive! Legit, like leave me welts. My whole family was like this, so my mom started making all natural, deet free bug spray. She got it tested in Santa Barbara at a lab and it was proven affective. She sold it at pop up stands at Whole Foods and local farmers markets. Everyone loves it! It actually works and really helps the itching. Truly, I've tried every "all natural" brand and my mom's is the best one. Let me know if you'd like to try it!

Your hair is looking gorgeous Shayla. I have a couple author recommendations for you to expand your horizon. Abby Jimenez writes the best uplifting romance novels. She also overlaps characters from different books. You don't really need to read them in order for them to make sense, but you can. I just read her newest book Just for the Summer and it was chef's kiss. Another author I love is JL Hyde, she has two different series. She is an independent author and she writes mysteries. They both have characters you love and want to keep reading about. If you end you end up reading either of them let me know. Sometimes I need a detox of all the trauma filled books I read.

Try Terrashield by DoTerra! Smells extremelllyyy strong and kinda gross, but it works very well for keeping bugs away. And humans hoenstly, I hate how it smells but it freaking works and its not toxic lol

One thing when someone says they wake up at 3 in the morning it’s really scary for me because I do not want to wake up at 3 am in the morning and also it was 3:30 and 3:45 and not exactly 3 am. But either way it is super early and for me scary and unpleasant. All I pray for is that you got your 8 hours of sleep!!!! I am a big stickler for sleep so I’ll pray for you. ❤❤❤

Natural insect repellent by Melaleuca... we'll need to reapply but totally works as mosquitoes absolutely love me too within 3 minutes on bitten up

Ugh bugs eat me ALIVE. I have natural bug spray wipes by Kinfield, which come in individual travel packs (like one per pack). Very easy to carry around and super effective. With those, I don’t have to preemptively cover myself in bug spray at the house. I just use a wipe while I’m out if I end up seeing mosquitos. And idk if it’s true but I’ve heard eating vegetarian/plant-based makes your blood more appealing to them haha! Could be part of the reason

G'day Shayla. I find getting my fingernail and pushing down hard on the bite (bump) and then doing it again the other way, so you end up with a cross fingernail indentation through the bite takes away the itch. My kids always ask me to do the fingernail thing when they get bitten. They swear by it. Xxxxxx p.s looking good. ❤

You need a bite pen! Won’t help with stopping you from getting bitten but it stops the bites begin itchy and they heal so much faster! X

For mosquito bites, try Kinfield’s Golden Hour (spray and wipes) or Quitch patches. My daughter has Skeeter syndrome which is a hyper allergy to mosquito bites. These have helped!

The mosquitos get attracted to the heat our bodies radiate. Citronella is good. If you can find a essential oil or a natural soup with citronella it could help.

LOL I totally feel you with the bug bites... I get eaten too. I read before that it has something to do with blood type, they are more attracted to people with a certain blood type... Which unfortunately means we can't do much about that! But also not wearing sweet fragrances can help a bit! And you can make a natural bug spray by mixing water with Citronella, Clove, Lemongrass essential oils into a spray bottle :) It's also dog friendly to help keep ticks off your dogs :) xo
